May is Older Americans Month and in celebration we wanted to share Ida Keeling’s amazing accomplishment, she will turn 101 in several weeks, and reportedly did a push-up to celebrate her achievement. And what did the lady do? She set a world record for centenarian women at the Penn Relays this weekend for the 100-meter dash, completing it in one minute and 17.33 seconds.
Her advice to others: “Love yourself, do what you have to do and what you want to do,” Keeling said. “Eat for nutrition, not for taste. And exercise at least once a day.”
