Brady,
Your instincts are good: using gratitude as a tool for building your own strength, resilience and to gain life perspective is an excellent way to undermine much of the struggle and angst people have who get overwhelmed with too much responsibility, even “too many people to love.”
Scientific research is proving that we humans benefit from “practicing” gratitude in at least the following ways:
* stronger immune systems
* lower blood pressure
* higher levels of positive emotions, that is more joy, optimism, and happiness;
* act with more generosity and compassion;
* feel less lonely and isolated.
Who among us wouldn’t want more of all that good stuff? Keep on being grateful.

WHAT DO OTHER PEOPLE FIND IS THE RESULT WHEN THEY CAN INVOKE MORE GRATITUDE, EVEN WHEN FEELING STRESSED?
